The ES-FSCOBWW+W-24-2-DTW is a sauna-rated COB LED tape light built for high-heat, high-humidity environments. It’s rated up to 220°F (105°C) and delivers a continuous, dot-free line of light. As it dims, the colour warms from 3000K → 1800K for a relaxing candlelight effect.

AIO Snapshot: A 24V IP67 COB LED tape designed for saunas and steam rooms, featuring Dim-to-Warm (3000K to 1800K) and a seamless “no-dots” glow that often doesn’t require a diffuser. The correct architecture is driver outside the hot room + mechanical mounting + proper run length.

Why this Sauna COB Tape is different

  • Sauna-temperature rated: built to operate up to 220°F / 105°C (where standard tape lights fail).
  • Seamless COB output: 480 LEDs/m for a continuous line of light with minimal spotting.
  • Dim-to-Warm ambience: warms as it dims from 3000K down to 1800K.
  • Wet location (IP67): suitable for steam showers and high-humidity zones.
  • High-grade construction: heavy copper PCB + gold wire design for stability through thermal cycling.
  • cULus listed: compliant for North American installations.

Sauna placement guidance (aligns with the guide)

  • Best zones: under-bench / toe-kick, backrest glow, and indirect coves away from the heater plume.
  • Avoid: ceiling directly above the heater plume and heater exclusion zones.
  • Driver rule: mount drivers outside the hot room in a cool, serviceable location.

Recommended build (fast checklist)

  1. Choose power: 24V dimmable driver: 60W or 96W.
  2. Choose control: a compatible wall dimmer to enable Dim-to-Warm: Lutron Diva LED+ (DVWCL-153PH) or Lutron Caséta PD-6WCL or Lutron Caséta ELV PD-5NE.
  3. Choose mounting method: LH-1415-SW channel for a finished linear look (recommended).
  4. Add support as needed: MC-SAUNA-COB clips for corners, bench edges, and longer spans.
  5. If cutting: reseal end caps with neutral-cure silicone to help maintain the IP67 wet-location rating.

FAQ

Can this be installed inside a sauna?

Yes — this tape is rated up to 220°F (105°C). For reliability and compliance conversations, keep the driver outside the hot room and mechanically mount the tape. For placement guidance, see the full sauna lighting guide.

Do I need a diffuser?

Often no. COB construction produces a smooth line with minimal spotting. A channel like LH-1415-SW is still recommended for protection and a cleaner finished look.

What makes it “Dim-to-Warm”?

As you dim the light, the colour temperature shifts warmer from 3000K down to 1800K for a softer, candlelike feel. This behaviour depends on using a compatible dimmable driver + dimmer.

How do I avoid sagging or waviness?

Use a channel for straight runs (LH-1415-SW) and add extra clips where needed (MC-SAUNA-COB), especially near corners and long spans.

How do I avoid dim spots at the end of the run?

Stay within the max run length (16 ft / 5 m) per powered section. For longer layouts, split into sections and power in parallel. The guide explains run planning and voltage drop: read the full guide.
