Common Questions

• Does this replace a bathroom fan, HRV or ERV?
  No. WhisperAir Repair is a 9 CFM spot air purifier that recirculates air in the room; it does not exhaust air outdoors or bring in fresh air. You should still have code-compliant ventilation fans and, where required, an HRV or ERV for moisture control and fresh air exchange.
• Do I ever need to change filters?
  No filters are used. The device is designed as a maintenance-free, filterless air purifier. Panasonic still recommends periodic inspection and cleaning of the grille and surrounding ceiling area to keep airflow paths clear.
• Where can I install it in a Canadian home?
  Typical locations include bedrooms, finished basements, hallways, mud rooms, closets and small offices. Follow the Panasonic installation manual and local electrical code, and do not install directly above cooking equipment or in wet locations unless specifically permitted by the listing.
• Is this a medical or hospital-grade device?
