The EcoNet Controls Bulldog EVC200-RC is a specialized retrofit water shutoff system designed for **professional security integration**. Unlike standard smart home valves that rely on app commands, this unit is engineered to be triggered by a hardwired Dry Contact Relay from a central alarm panel or building automation system.
This model features a dual-protocol architecture: it uses a hardwired connection for deterministic control (Open/Close) while utilizing Z-Wave Plus strictly for valve status reporting to your monitoring dashboard.

- Control: Requires a device with a Dry Contact Relay Output (Normally Open/Closed) to trigger the valve.
- Valve Type: Fits standard Quarter-Turn Ball Valves (pipes 1/2" to 1.5"). Not compatible with Gate Valves.
- Wiring: Requires running low-voltage wire (e.g., 18/2 security wire) between the valve and your control panel.

Only if your Alarm System has a mobile app. The valve follows the command of the hardwired relay. It is generally not designed to be opened/closed wirelessly via Z-Wave to prevent logic conflicts with the alarm panel.
Does this fit my pipe?
The included HC2LXL mounting kit is universal for standard rigid pipes (Copper, PVC, PEX) ranging from 1/2" up to 1.5" in diameter.
What if the power goes out?
The valve will remain in its last position. For automatic operation during outages, we recommend adding the EcoNet Battery Backup (BB3K).
