Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using SimplySecured.ca or placing an order. By accessing the site or completing a purchase, you agree to be bound by these terms.
The site is operated by Simply Controlled AV Ltd., located at Unit 130A, 3359 27th Street N.E., Calgary, Alberta T1Y 5E4 ("SimplySecured," "we," "us," or "our").

1. Eligibility and Use of the Site
The site is intended for use by residents of Canada who are 18 years of age or older. By using the site, you represent that you meet these requirements. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at our discretion.
2. Product Availability and Accuracy
We make reasonable efforts to display accurate product descriptions, pricing, and availability. However:
- Product specifications, availability, and pricing may change without notice.
- Typographical errors, pricing errors, or other inaccuracies may occasionally appear.
- We reserve the right to correct errors and cancel any order affected by a pricing or product error, even after an order confirmation has been sent.
- Images are representative and may not exactly match the product received.
- Colour temperatures, finishes, and specifications are manufacturer-stated values and may vary slightly in practice.
3. Orders, Pricing, and Payment
- Currency: all prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.
- Taxes: applicable GST, HST, PST, or QST is added at checkout based on the delivery province.
- Order confirmation: an order confirmation email acknowledges receipt of your order but does not constitute final acceptance.
- Payment: we accept payment methods displayed at checkout, including Shopify Payments and PayPal where available.
- Card storage: we do not store full credit card details on our own servers after processing.
- Pricing errors: if a product is listed at an incorrect price because of a system or typographical error, we may cancel the order and refund the payment.
4. Shipping
Orders ship from Calgary, Alberta to Canadian addresses only. Shipping terms, transit estimates, free-shipping qualifications, and carrier details are published on our Shipping Info page.
5. Returns and Refunds
Our full return policy is published on the Return Policy page. Returns require prior authorization. Items that do not meet return eligibility requirements may be refused or may be subject to a restocking fee.
6. Warranties
Products sold through SimplySecured carry manufacturer warranty coverage where applicable. SimplySecured facilitates warranty claims with manufacturers but does not independently extend or modify manufacturer warranty terms. SimplySecured makes no additional warranties, express or implied, beyond those provided by the product manufacturer. Products are sold "as is" with manufacturer warranty coverage only.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- SimplySecured is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site, any product purchased, or any service provided.
- Our total liability for any claim arising from a purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim.
- We are not responsible for damage, injury, or loss resulting from improper installation, misuse, failure to follow manufacturer instructions, or use of products outside their rated specifications.
Electrical and HVAC products: products in lighting, ventilation, electrical, and related categories must be installed in compliance with applicable Canadian codes and local requirements. We strongly recommend licensed professional installation where required by law.
8. Product Compatibility and Technical Guidance
SimplySecured provides product recommendations, compatibility information, and technical guidance in good faith based on the information available at the time of inquiry. However:
- Final compatibility must always be confirmed against the product specifications, your installation environment, wiring configuration, and applicable codes.
- We are not responsible for purchases made based on customer-provided specifications that later prove inaccurate.
- Technical guidance does not constitute a guarantee of performance in a specific installation.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on SimplySecured.ca, including text, images, logos, collection descriptions, guides, and product information created by SimplySecured, is the intellectual property of Simply Controlled AV Ltd. or its licensors. You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, or commercially exploit site content without written permission.
Product names, brand names, and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.
10. Privacy
We collect personal information solely for order processing, customer support, and communication about your orders. We do not sell personal information to third parties. Payment processing is handled by Shopify Payments and/or PayPal.
11. Links to Third-Party Sites
The site may contain links to third-party websites, including manufacturer pages, installation guides, and support resources. These links are provided for convenience only. SimplySecured is not responsible for the accuracy, content, or privacy practices of third-party sites.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the site are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta, Canada.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
